1 Overview
This application is an unofficial, fan-made collection guide app for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Nintendo. All rights to related game assets, characters, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. This application does not require account registration and does not operate its own servers. All user-generated data — including collection progress, island information, images, and settings — is stored locally on the user's device.
2 Collection and Use of Personal Information
The developer does not directly collect, store, transmit, or process users' personal information. However, third-party services are used to provide advertising and in-app purchase functionality. In the course of providing these services, those parties may automatically collect certain information in accordance with their own privacy policies. Information that may be collected includes: Device information Advertising identifiers App usage and interaction data Payment information (when making in-app purchases) IP address The developer does not have access to or control over the data collected by third-party services.
3 Camera and Photo Access
The application may request permission to access the device's camera and photo library (media storage) in order to allow users to attach photos to island information fields, or to generate images from in-app content and save (export) them to the device. Images captured or selected by the user, as well as images saved through the app, are stored locally on the user's device. The developer does not separately collect, upload, transmit, externally store, or access those images. Camera and media file access is used only when the user explicitly performs the relevant action and grants the necessary permission.
4 Advertising and Payments
NookDex may display advertisements in certain areas of the app via Google AdMob. Ad providers may automatically process device information, advertising identifiers, IP addresses, app interaction data, and similar information in accordance with their own privacy policies. When in-app purchases are made, payment processing and restoration are handled through Apple App Store or Google Play Billing. NookDex may store purchase status locally on the device in order to maintain access to unlocked paid features.
5 Third-Party Services
The application uses the following third-party services: Google Play Services Google AdMob (advertising) Google Play Billing (in-app purchases) These services may independently process data in accordance with their respective privacy policies.
6 Data Storage
All user data within the application — including collection progress, island information, and settings — is stored locally on the user's device. The developer has no access to this data.
7 Data Sharing
The developer does not sell personal information. However, the third-party service providers identified above may process data solely for the purposes of advertising and payment processing.
8 Protection of Children's Privacy
This application is not directed primarily at children under the age of 13. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9 Data Retention
As the developer does not collect personal information or store it on servers, no remote data retention takes place. Users can remove all data stored on their device by uninstalling the application.
10 Security
The developer does not operate any servers or remote databases in connection with this application.
