1 Overview
Melo is a mobile app designed for daily mood check-ins, small plan management, companion reactions, and emotional reflection. It currently does not require a separate account, and most app data created by the user is stored locally on the device. Melo is still pre-launch and is being introduced through the thenovary portfolio before public store release.
2 Information Processed on Your Device
Melo may process information such as your daily mood records, Today Plan tasks and repeating routines, selected skins, app icons, theme colors, language settings, companion name, user name, birthday, visit streak, last visit date, reminder status and time, trial start time, lifetime-pass status, and review-prompt state on your device. This information is managed mainly through local device storage such as SharedPreferences in order to provide app functionality. The developer does not directly collect this data into a separate developer-operated account system or cloud database.
3 Notifications, Backup, Sharing, and File Access
Melo may request notification permission in order to provide daily reminders. If notifications are allowed, local reminders may be scheduled for the time you choose. Melo may also use device storage or file-picker functionality for backup export and import. Backup files may be prepared or restored as ZIP archives containing JSON data. If you explicitly share an exported backup file, it may be passed to the app or storage location you select.
4 Widgets and Platform Features
Melo may provide home-screen widget and state-sync features on supported platforms. On iOS, some state information—such as user name, companion name, selected skin, growth stage, recent mood history, and language code—may be synchronized between the app and the widget in order to render widget content. The app may also use platform features such as in-app review prompts, alternate app icons, and operating-system notification services.
5 Payments and Third-Party Services
Melo may rely on platform billing systems such as the Apple App Store or Google Play Billing for lifetime-pass purchases and restoration. These platform or third-party providers may process device, billing, and technical app-usage information under their own policies. Melo does not process billing itself through a separate developer-operated server.
6 Data Storage and Deletion
Most Melo app data—such as mood records, todos, skin and theme settings, names and birthday information, and reminder preferences—is stored locally on the user's device. If you delete the app or reset the device, that local data may be removed and may not be recoverable. The developer does not currently provide a separate cloud sync or recovery service for user data.
